DurashineTM is the premium Zinc-Aluminium alloy coated steel product
from Tata BlueScope Steel Ltd.. The metal alloy coating comprises 55% Aluminium,
43.5% and 1.5% Silicon ? applied over the base steel through a continuous hot-dip
process. The excellent barrier properties of aluminium and sacrificial properties
of zinc impart corrosion resistance of upto four times that of traditional galvanised
iron. The resin coating, over a chromate passivation treatment, provides resistance
to scuffing and handling marks, and improves the aesthetics. High reflectivity and
low thermal mass help maintain a comfortable working environment.
